Can we consider some techniques for trying to control the massive amounts of stalling that now occurs on ACR on a regular basis? I was in a tournament earlier today where we got to within 10-15 from the $$ and play grinded to a halt for almost an hour. By the time we hit the money the stacks at my table (and the tournament average) had gone from close to 30 bb to 10-15 bb, and wouldn't you know it play sped back up after we made the $$.

What about something like a "chess clock" where each player gets 5 seconds per action and then after that it goes into their chess clock which only replenishes slowly over time. This way if a player needs more time to make a tough decision they have the opportunity (still probably impose a maximum time per action), but this gets rid of the ability for a player to take 20 seconds to fold their 72o under the gun. Sure they can do that for some time but once their clock is gone they will have 5 seconds to act for quite some time. Thoughts?
